Fathers + Sons = Good Memories

Last weekend was Bloomington 7th Ward's annual Father & Son's Campout.  The good food and fun times were enjoyed in the cooler temperatures of Pine Valley Mountain.

Thanks to all who organized and participated in this memorable event.

Jordan Hollowell Reports

Jordan Hollowell, son of Bob and Carol, recently returned from serving the Lord in the Thailand Bangkok Mission.

He spoke in Sacrament a few weeks ago and took the opportunity to share his testimony in his native tongue..."Thai".

What is your favorite passage of scripture, or the scripture that inspires you the most and why?
"2 Nephi 31, because it's the most plain and easy to see what both the Father and the Son expect of us."

Share with us, a highlight from your mission.
"I got to see a family in my 2nd-to-last area be baptized and when I got moved to a new area I found more of their family and was blessed to see more of that family be baptized before I left."

What advice would you give to youth as they prepare to serve a mission?
"1.  Finish the Book of Mormon by yourself. 2.  Know Preach My Gospel somewhat. 3. Go teaching with the missionaries."

Congratulations Jordan and welcome home!

Getting to Know the Edwards

New to our ward is the Edwards Family; James, Karin and their 3 year old son Kadence.

Sis. Edwards says, "San Diego, California is our home base but we are pretty much gypsies going where ever the next show is.  We are generally based out of Los Angeles and New York."

Their son Kadence is a Sunbeam who will be turning 4 in August.  They also have two girls...Chihuaha girls, Chispa, who is 13 and Bandida who is 5.

James is a professional singer/actor/dancer and is currently here performing at Tuacahn for the season until October.  This year he will be playing Prince Eric in the Little Mermaid and Kenickie in Grease.  Last year he starred as Tarzan.

Karin enjoys making costumes for Kadence to participate in the shows.  She is a psychologist and telecommutes for work.  She is a market researcher and conducts product placement for lots of different companies.  She loves animals and was almost a vet.  She says she will rescue anything that looks even a little pathetic.

Bloomington 7th Ward welcomes the Edwards! We look forward to getting to know your family.
